Not knowing the specifics of your contract.

Another big mistake you want to avoid is not knowing all of the ins and outs of your contract. It doesn't do you any good to have a contract in place if you have no idea what all of the specifics in it are. How can you possibly know if someone is doing their part to deliver if you don't know what you outlined in their contract? Not having an out clause.

As with any contract or business deal, you need to have an out clause. While you hope every deal is going to work out like it should, they might not all be that simple.
